By creating an account or using BillDecoder, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services.

BillDecoder provides an AI-powered healthcare transparency platform that helps users:

• Understand medical bills and healthcare charges in plain language
• Identify common billing issues and potential errors
• Generate educational appeal letter templates
• Track and organize medical billing information

3. User Responsibilities

You acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all information you upload to BillDecoder
• You will independently verify any findings or suggestions provided by our platform
• You will consult with your healthcare provider, insurance company, or qualified professionals before taking action based on our analysis
• Final decisions about disputing charges, filing appeals, or taking legal action are your sole responsibility
• You will not rely on BillDecoder as a substitute for professional medical, legal, or financial advice

4. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to register for an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete information during registration
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

5. User Content and Protected Health Information

You retain ownership of any data or documents you upload to BillDecoder ("User Content"), including any Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA. By uploading User Content, you:

• Grant us a limited license to use, process, and analyze such content solely for the purpose of providing our services to you
• Represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights and consents to upload any medical bills or personal health information to our platform
• Acknowledge that you have read and understood our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices
• Agree that we will handle your PHI in accordance with HIPAA regulations and our Privacy Policy

6. Accuracy and Completeness of Information

BillDecoder's analysis is based solely on the documents and information you provide. We cannot and do not:

• Verify the accuracy or completeness of the information you upload
• Access your complete medical records or insurance policy details
• Contact your healthcare providers or insurance companies on your behalf
• Guarantee that our analysis identifies all errors or issues in your bills
• Guarantee that identified issues will result in billing adjustments or refunds

You acknowledge that our analysis may be incomplete or inaccurate if you do not provide complete documentation, including your full insurance policy, Explanation of Benefits (EOB), and all related medical records.

7. AI Technology and Limitations

Our platform uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technology. You acknowledge that:

• AI technology may produce errors, inaccuracies, or incomplete analysis
• AI-generated suggestions should be reviewed and verified by qualified professionals
• AI cannot replace human judgment, expertise, or professional advice
• We continuously improve our AI models, but cannot guarantee error-free performance

8. Payment and Subscriptions

Some features of BillDecoder require payment of fees. You agree that:

• All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing
• We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time, with advance notice provided before any renewal term
• You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account
• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis
• You may cancel your subscription at any time, but no refunds will be provided for partial billing periods

• Any User Content you upload or submit

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at our sole discretion, without notice, for:

• Conduct that violates these Terms
• Conduct that is harmful to other users, us, or third parties
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Non-payment of fees
• Any other reason at our sole discretion

Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. We may delete your User Content, but are not obligated to do so.

BillDecoder is committed to protecting your Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Please review our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your PHI.

15. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

17. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by:
